The Catedral de la Virgen Maria de la Concepcion Inmaculada highlights the Plaza de la Cathedral in Habana Vieja (Old
Havana). Started by the Jesuits in 1748 and completed in 1777, the cathedral's baroque facade dominates this popular square
in Havana Vieja.
To the right are the arches of the Casa de Lombillo (circa 1741) while to the left is EL PATIO resturant. You can dine
inside or outside in the square under the umbrellas.
A few short steps around the corner to the left of the Cathedral is the ever popular Ernest Hemingway haunt, La Bodeguita
del Medio, home of the Mojito.
