The Catedral de la Virgen Maria de la Concepcion Inmaculada as seen through the arches of the Casa de Lombillo (circa
1741) in Havana Vieja (Old Havana). Started by the Jesuits in 1748 and completed in 1777, the cathedral's baroque facade dominates
this popular square in Havana Vieja.
It is also nice to eat at the EL PATIO resturant in Plaza de la Catedral. You can dine inside or outside in the square
under umbrellas. I have always preferred the outside because the music isn't quite as loud, and also I simply love to soak
up the atmosphere in the Plaza. Service can be a bit slow however. I often stop here for lunch (Sandwich Cubano) with a cold
Crystal Beer. Very nice.
